Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination on younger pets and twice annual exams on seniors. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures including routine surgeries such as spays and neuters as well as more advanced procedures such as tumor removal, bladder stone surgery, biopsies, abdominal exploratory, and limited orthopedics.
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Our anesthesia options include two human grade gas anesthetics which allow for quick recovery and easy adjustments in anesthestics depth. Using the most modern technology, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. Our equipment allows us to monitor heart rate, E.K.G., respiratory rate, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, blood pressure, and temperature on all our patients. With this level of monitoring we can make anesthesia as safe as possible and also guard against long term anesthetic related problems.
Internal medicine consults: At All Creatures we have the ability to consult with specialists as well as refer your pet to these specialists when we feel they need more advanced diagnostics and care as well as specialized procedures.
Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery. All of our dental cleanings include cleaning above and below the gumline, charting pocket depth and proving a treatment plan for any periodontal disease. Advanced dental procedures offered include the availability of bone graft material, antibiotic packing of periodontal pockets, root canals, and interceptive orthodontics.
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Permanent identification: We offer AVID microchip identification.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.
