Dr. Lance Blackburn 

   Dr. Blackburn was born at St. Johns in Springfield, MO, attended Hillcrest HS and then Southwest MO State University. He then received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of MO in 1989.  Dr. Blackburn worked for 3 years at Black Mountain Animal Hospital in Henderson, Nevada.  He returned to Springfield in 1992 and worked for Dr. Lee Bennett before purchasing All Creatures in 1996.

   Dr. Blackburn's hobbies include gardening, landscaping, falconry, biking, and hiking and he has special interests in geriatric medicine and dentistry. Dr. Blackburn has a Weimaraner named Wall-E.

                                                   Dr. Melissa Risan

   Dr. Risan graduated from high school in Republic, Mo and attended Southwest Missouri State University for her undergraduate work.  She then went to the University of Missouri and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. 

   Dr. Risan's hobbies include: riding horses, Latin dancing, and running with her dog, Syren.

      Dr. Ruth Massey

   Dr. Massey was raised in Laclede County.  She received a B.S. in English education and a masters in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  After teaching high-school and working for Social Security, she returned to UMC to fulfill her first love and received her DVM degree.  She practiced in Sikeston, Mo and Beverly Hills, FL before returning to Missouri to start an equine practice.  She sold her practice in 2001 and has been doing relief work since. 

   Dr. Massey's hobbies are showing, and breeding Missouri fox trotting horses, and reading.
